Bunthäuser Spitze lighthouse was built in 1913, on the peninsula separating the Elbe into the north and south, near the German city of Hamburg. The height of the lighthouse tower is 7 meters. The object was made of wood, in the form of a hexagon with a clearly outlined gallery and a lantern. The lighthouse tower was painted green, the lantern red, and the railings and gallery were painted white. At the time of its activity, the lighthouse played a significant role in the navigation of river navigation on the Elbe. However, the facility was deactivated in 1977 and began to be used to measure the Elbe water levels. A dozen years later, in 1989, however, the Bunthäuser Spitze lighthouse was renovated and repainted and transformed into a historic building. Its re-renovation took place in 2007. The lighthouse is, of course, fully open to the public.
