The Trattore Leggero TL-37 is an Italian light artillery tractor from the Second World War. The first copies of this vehicle appeared in 1937, and serial production began a year later. About 200 examples of this vehicle were built in its course. The car was powered by a single 52 HP 4-cylinder engine.
The TL-37 was developed at SPA facilities in response to the demand of the Italian armed forces for a new light artillery tractor. As part of the competition, he defeated the design of the Breda concern and entered mass production in 1938. The TL-37 was capable of towing cannons with a caliber of 75-100 mm and carrying five of their crew members. It could also transport a fire unit weighing up to 250 kilograms. The vehicle had good driving characteristics and decent off-road capability. It was, however, characterized by a moderate operational range. The Trattore Leggero TL-37 was used by the Italian army mainly during the campaign in North Africa in 1940-1943. After 1943, it was also used by German troops in the area of Apennine. After the end of World War II - until 1948 - he served in the ports of the Italian Navy.
