The Multicar M-22 was an East German light commercial vehicle and truck from the post-war period. The car was presented to the public for the first time at the Leipzig Trade Fair in 1964, and the same year saw the start of series production, which lasted until 1974. About 43,000 vehicles of this type were built in the course of it. The drive was provided by a single two-cylinder engine with 15 HP. The cart was 3.5 meters long and 1.34 meters wide. The maximum speed did not exceed 30 km / h. The Multicar M-22 was developed at the VEB Fahrzeugwerke Waltershausen plant in the then GDR. The car was a development of the company's previous designs and was a successor to the M-21 model. Compared to its predecessor, it differed primarily in the closed driver's cabin, which now could drive the vehicle in a seated position, as well as the power unit with more than twice as much power. Ultimately, the Multicar M-22 turned out to be a successful design, and a large part of the produced copies were exported. The vehicle, apart from civilian use, was also widely used as a light transport vehicle in the armies of the Warsaw Pact.
