The Ford Torino is an American mid-range and upper-middle class passenger / sports car that was first presented to the public in 1968. Its serial production lasted from 1968 to 1976 and was concentrated in Ford plants in several US cities, including Chicago, Atlanta, Oakville and Kansas City.
Ford Torino was developed to complement the company's sports car range, as well as to extend this segment as well. Initially, it was based on many solutions used in the Ford Fairlane - it was in fact its enlarged and modernized version. During serial production, the car was offered in various body styles: sedan, coupe, hardtop, fastback and Station wagon. Two versions were the most popular: a 4-door sedan and a 4-door hardtop. It is worth adding that the Ford plant has created several limited versions (the so-called muscle car) with powerful drive units and significantly improved performance compared to large-series versions. Cars adapted to NASCAR races were also created based on the Ford Torino chassis.
