ACES II is a modern American ejection seat (another term: ejection seat), which was initially manufactured by McDonnell Douglas and is currently manufactured by United Technologies Aerospace Systems. It is estimated that as many as 10,000 armchairs of this type were created, of which 5,000 are still in service. Thus, it is currently one of the most popular catapult seats in military aviation in the world! It is assumed that the ACES II armchair is also one of the most modern devices of this type and belongs to the so-called 3rd generation catapult seats. It has sensors that are able to determine the height and speed of the chair's firing and adjust the parachute opening time accordingly. The ACES II armchair also has a relatively large modernization potential. Currently, the ACES II seat is mounted on such aircraft as: F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-15 Eagle, A-10 Thunderbolt II or F-22 Raptor, but also B-2 Spirit.
