Albion AM-463 is a British universal truck from the interwar period and World War II. The first copies of this vehicle appeared in the mid-1930s, and serial production began in 1935. As a result, about 1900 vehicles of this type were created. The vehicle was powered by a single 4.4 liter EN213 engine or a 3.9 liter EN217 engine.
Albion AM-463 was developed in response to the demand reported by the RAF for a new, multi-purpose truck for broadly understood service at air bases and at field airports. The vehicle had relatively low production costs, performed well on paved and grass surfaces, and was relatively easy to use. The car was used in many body styles - for example, as an ambulance, classic truck or tanker truck. Many Albion AM-463 cars were transferred to France in 1939-1940, where they suffered heavy losses in the course of the French campaign in the summer of 1940. However, those cars that remained in the country played a significant role during the Battle of Britain that same year.
