BYMS-2211 was a British minesweeper of American production during the Second World War. It belonged to the BYMS type units, which were launched in 1941-1943. In total, 150 vessels of this type were built in American shipyards, of which about 80 went to the Royal Navy. Ship length BYMS-2211 was about 42 m, with a width of 7.7 m and a draft of 2.4 meters. The displacement reached approx. 280 tons and the maximum speed was approx. 15 knots. The armament of the unit at the time of launch consisted of a single 3-inch 76 mm cannon, two 20 mm Oerlikon cannons and 2 depth charge launchers. BYMS minesweepers from the very beginning were designed as simple as possible and cheap in construction and operation. They were also designed to be as mass-produced as possible. It is also worth adding that in order to reduce production costs, they used a hull made of wood, which also made it difficult to use magnetic mines against them. Despite all this, BYMS minesweepers were ships of solid construction, capable of sailing not only on the sea, but also on the ocean! After World War II, almost all units of this type were placed in reserve. In 1946, four units of this type were purchased by the Polish side from the Royal Navy, including BYMS-2211, which was renamed ORP Delfin. In the Polish service, ORP Delfin was rearmed and equipped with Soviet-made equipment. In 1957 he was withdrawn from service.

The SS Mexico Victory was an American transport ship from the Second World War and the post-war period. The keel for this unit was laid in 1944, the launch took place in March of the same year, and the entry into service - two months later, in May 1944. The overall length of the ship was 139 meters and 19 meters wide. The maximum speed was around 16-17 knots. In the course of the war, the on-board weapons included: a single 127 mm gun or 8 20 mm anti-aircraft guns.

The SS Mexico Victory was one of the Victory ships. Units of this type were essentially a modernized version of the Liberty class. The main changes consisted in increasing the units and their displacement, as well as the use of a more efficient power plant with more powerful engines. This allowed them to develop a higher top speed, making them a more difficult target for U-boats marching in the Atlantic. In total, about 530 ships of this type were built. One of the ships of this type was the SS Mexico Victory, which was built at the California Shipbuilding Company in Los Angeles. The unit initially served in the Atlantic as a classic transport, but was quickly adapted to transporting the army and served in this role until the end of World War II, operating mainly in the Atlantic. In 1947 he was transferred to the reserve, but in 1950 he returned to service and took part in the Korean War (1950-1953). In 1967, it was sold to Poland, where it served under the name SS Kiliński until 1971. It was then resold to Denmark and changed its name to SS Lin. Two years later (1973), the unit was scrapped.
