The BRU-32 is a multi-lock, US-made suspended air beam from the Cold War and modern times. The Marvin Engineering Company plants are responsible for its design and production. In the BRU-32 B / A version, its length is approx. 94 cm, with a width of approx. 18.6 cm and a height of approx. 19 cm. The tare weight of the beam is approximately 34 kilograms (76 lb). The boom is also capable of carrying a payload of up to approximately 1,900 kilograms (4,200 lb). The BRU-32 beam, as a rule, was and is suspended to the fixed suspension point of the plane (pylon), and the armament was suspended from it. During the service, free-fall bombs, such as the Mark 82, were most often hung on the BRU-32 beams. According to the manufacturer, BRU-32, and especially its B / A version, is characterized by high reliability and ergonomics of operation. Beams of this type were and are used primarily by the US Navy and the Marine Corps on the F / A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet machines, as well as on the F-14A Tomcat.
