The T1 was a prototype American light tank from the interwar period. Prototype versions were produced in the years 1927-1932. The tank never went into mass production. The car was powered - depending on the version - with an engine with power from 105 to 244 HP. The T1 E 1 version was armed with a 37mm M1918 gun and a single 7.62mm Browning M1919 machine gun.

The T1 tank was created in response to the US Army's need for a new infantry support tank that would replace the Renault FT-17 vehicles in the line. The new tank was developed by the Cunnigham company, which so far has specialized in the production of heavy agricultural tractors. The T1 had relatively low production costs and a chassis that was also simple and cheap to manufacture. At the same time, however, the new vehicle was not very resistant to shell fragments and mines. In the original version, the tank was not very good off-road and it did not maneuver very well. However, at Cunnigham there were several upgrades of the first version (T1), including: T1 E 1 (a vehicle with a simplified structure compared to the T1, adapted for serial production), T1 E 2 (vehicle with a new engine) or T1 E 4 (version with an offset turret). Despite these upgrades, the vehicle still showed numerous problems and did not go into series production.
