Gun 28 cm Kanone 5 (Eisenbahn) is a German 280mm railroad gun from the Second World War. Work on this gun began in 1934, and the first guns entered service in 1940. It is generally accepted that the 28 cm Kanone 5 is one of the most successful German railroad guns of the Second World War. In this section, several types of missiles were used, the vast majority of which were separate loading, i.e. the throwing charge was placed separately in the castle chamber and the actual projectile separately. One of the types of missiles was 28 cm G35 with a total weight of 255 kg. Another missile was 28cm Thick. 39 m. Hbgr. Z with a total weight of 265 kilograms, which had a load of 44.5 kilograms. It is worth adding that the missile-assisted missiles marked as 28 cm R. GR.4351, which carried 14 kg of explosives, and the range of such a missile in combat conditions was up to 86 kilometers.
