Panzerjäeger 38 (t) mit 105mm StuH 42/2 L / 28 (sometimes, commonly abbreviated as: Hetzer SPG) is a German, prototype self-propelled gun from the end of World War II. The prototypes of the car were probably built at the beginning of 1945, but the car never entered mass production. It is assumed that the length of the car's hull was approx. 6.4 m, with a width of approx. 2.6 m and a height of approx. 2.2 m. The drive was provided by a single 6-cylinder Praga engine with a power of up to 160 HP. The vehicle was armed with a single 105 mm howitzer. Construction The Panzerjäeger 38 (t) mit 105mm StuH 42/2 L / 28 was based on the successful Hetzer light tank destroyer. The new self-propelled gun retained almost all the elements of its predecessor, but the new main armament was used - instead of the 75mm PaK39 gun, the 105mm short-barrel StuH 42/2 howitzer with a barrel length of 28 caliber was used. The new self-propelled gun was to be used as a support weapon in armored grenadier units. However, the imminent end of the war shattered these assumptions, and the presented vehicle never passed beyond the prototype stage.
