Heinkel He112 to niemiecki mysliwiec o konstrukcji metalowej. Pierwszy prototyp oznaczony V1 oblatano 1 września 1935 roku. Jego budowę zakończono dwa dni wcześniej. Maszyna ta posiadała silnik Kestrel. Prototyp V2 był gotowy do prób już w listopadzie 1935 roku. W odróżnieniu od swojego poprzednika był on napędzany silnikiem Jumo 210C. Drugiego lutego 1936 roku maszyna ta uległa wypadkowi. Z racji potrzeby posiadania samolotu do programu wyboru myśliwca dla Luftwaffe wyremontowano go w przeciągu dwóch tygodni i już 16 lutego tego samego roku był on gotowy do lotów. Samolot ten utracono 15 kwietnia 196 roku, kiedy to rozbił się podczas oficjalnego pokazu dla dygnitarzy. Trzeci prototyp V3 (W.Nr 1292) zakończono budować już w styczniu 1936 roku. Jednakże pierwszy lot wykonał on dopiero rok później, bo 25 stycznia 1937. Posiadał inne niż poprzednicy uzbrojenie (3 x km 7,92 mm), oraz większą chłodnicę. Samolot ten utracono w katastrofie na przełomie marca i kwietnia 1937 r. podczas prób z silnikiem rakietowym. Prototyp V4 (W.Nr 1974) budowano w okresie 23.04.1936 - 10.06.1936. Do jego napędu użyto silnika Jumo 210Da. Nie posiadał on uzbrojenia, oraz posiadał trójłopatowe śmigło. Piąty prototyp V5 (W.Nr 1951) został określony jako wzorzec serii przedprodukcyjnej A-0. Od prototypu V4 odróżniało go dwułopatowe śmigło firmy Schwarz. Drugim egzemplarzem serii przedprodukcyjnej był prototyp V6. Posiadał śmigło trójłopatowe f-my Schwarz, a jako jednostkę napędową użyto w nim silnik Jumo 210C. Prototyp V7 użyty był jeszcze w konkursie myśliwca dla Luftwaffe. Był protoplastą wersji He 112B. Oblatany w październiku 1936 roku. Ósmy prototyp V8 (W.Nr 1954) był maszyną służącą do późniejszych testów w zakładach Heinkla. Napędzany był silnikiem Daimler Benz 600Aa. Prototyp V9 był pierwszym samolotem wersji B-0. Napędzał go silnik Jumo 210 Ea, wyposazony był dodatkowo w śmigło dwułopatowe Junkers-Hamilton. W serii B-0 wyprodukowano także prototypy V10 i V11. W Hiszpanii używano prototypów V6 (z działkiem 20 mm), w jednostce Versuch - JagdStaffel 88. Po kraksie prototypu V6 sprowadzono (już tylko w celach promocyjnych i marketingowych) prototyp V9. Latał na nim Harro Harder, przeważnie w lotach na niszczenie celów naziemnych. Japonia zakupiła prototypy V6 i V9. Z dostępnej mi literatury wiadomo, że na pewno zakupiony był prototyp V5 podczas wizyty delegacji Japonii w Niemczech. Natomiast później zamówiono 30 sztuk w wersji B1 (wywodzącej się z prototyu V9), z możliwością powiększenia zamówienia na 100 dalszych maszyn. Jednakże prawdopodobnie odebrano tylko dwie maszyny: prototyp V5 (na pewno) i prawdpodobnie V9. Obydwa samoloty oznaczono A7He1. Jednakże z powodu użycia w nim silnika rzędowego oraz słaba zwrotność w porównaniu z innymi samolotami japonskimi spowodowała że samoloty te użyto jedynie do celów treningowych.
The Heinkel He112 is a German fighter with a metal structure. The first prototype, designated V1, was flown on September 1, 1935. Its construction was completed two days earlier. This machine was equipped with a Kestrel engine. The V2 prototype was ready for testing in November 1935. Unlike its predecessor, it was powered by a Jumo 210C engine. The Jumo 210Da engine was used for its drive. It did not have any weapons. The fifth prototype of the V5 (W. No. 1951) was designated as the model for the A-0 pre-production series. After the crash of the V6 prototype, the V9 prototype was imported (for promotional and marketing purposes only). It was flown by Harro Harder, mostly ground-based destroyers. Japan purchased the V6 and V9 prototypes. Later, 30 units were ordered in the B1 version (derived from the V9 prototype), with the possibility of increasing the order for 100 more machines. However, probably only two machines were picked up: a V5 prototype (for sure) and possibly a V9. Both aircraft were designated A7He1. However, due to the use of an in-line engine in it and poor maneuverability compared to other Japanese aircraft, these aircraft were used only for training purposes.
