Bat Project 72010 Heinkel He 114C

The Heinkel He 114 was a German metal seaplane from the interwar period and World War II. The drive - in the He 114 A-2 version - was provided by a single BMW-132K engine with 960 HP. The prototype flight took place in 1936. The deck armament consisted of a single 7.92 mm MG15 machine gun. The machine could also carry a load of bombs weighing up to 110 kilograms.

The Heinkel He 114 was developed as a successor to the He 60 seaplane. Unlike its predecessor, it was a 1.5-wing aircraft, using a much more powerful propulsion unit. However, the Heinkel He 114 turned out to be a not very successful aircraft, with performance similar to or worse than the He 60. This resulted in his short service in the Kriegsmarine, which quickly replaced it in the line with a much more successful Arado Ar 196 seaplane. The Heinkel He 114 reached three recipients foreign: Spain, Sweden and Hungary. Several versions of this aircraft were created in the course of serial production, including: He 114 A-1 (training version), He 114 A-2 (main production version, reconnaissance seaplane) or He 114 C-1 (improved version A-2 ).
