The Kermorvan lighthouse was built in 1849 at Cape Finisterre in Brittany, in the northwest of France. Currently, the height of the lighthouse tower is 20.3 meters, with the lighthouse being 22 meters above sea level. The light projected by this lantern has a range of approx. 22 kilometers. The lighthouse tower is made of natural stone in the shape of a quadrangle, with a clearly marked gallery, at the top of which there is a lantern. The lighthouse tower is plastered and painted white on three sides. From the land side, the natural stone façade has been preserved. Interestingly, the Kermorvan lighthouse is connected to the mainland by a granite bridge, and since the end of the 19th century there has been a stone fort nearby, which was once used by the French army. The facility has been automated since 1994. It is worth noting that the Kermorvan lighthouse, from its launch to the present day, plays an important role in the navigation of shipping and cabotage off the coast of Brittany.
