Old Church of St. Martin in Stare Tarnowice (now Tarnowskie Góry) is now a Roman Catholic church, which is a branch church of the parish of St. Martin, the Bishop and Confessor. The building was erected around 1400, originally in Romanesque style, with some Gothic elements. At the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, the church belonged to the Lutheran community, but in the 17th century it became a Roman Catholic church again. The building was hung at the beginning of the 18th century. Until the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, it served as a parish church, losing this function in 1902. Currently, the old church of St. Martin in Stare Tarnowice serves as a branch church and a cemetery chapel. At present, the church consists of a porch, a nave, a chancel connected with a sacristy and two chapels: St. Wenceslas and St. John of Nepomuk.
