Miles M.14 Magister is a British, single-engine, plywood-covered training plane with a fixed undercarriage and a classic tail in the low wing configuration. The flight of the prototype took place in 1936, and serial production continued in 1937-1941. The aircraft was manufactured by Philipps and Powis Aricraft Limited. The Magister was the first low-wing aircraft to be equipped in British aviation schools. It greatly facilitated the training of future Spitfire and Hurricane pilots. The most important version, produced on a large scale, was the Miles M.14 Magister Mk.I with the De Havilland Gipsy Major engine, 130 HP. He remained in service until 1947.
