Nahuel DL 43 (full name: Carro de Combate Medio Nahuel DL 43) was an Argentinian medium tank from the Second World War and the Cold War. The first prototypes of the car were built in 1943, and small serial production took place in 1943-1944. About 15 cars of this type were built in its course. The tank was about 6.22 meters long with a width of 2.33 meters. The drive was provided by a single engine FMA-Lorraine Dietrich 12 EB with a power of 500 hp. The primary armament consisted of the 75mm Krupp Model 1909 75/30 gun, and the secondary - 3-4 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm machine guns. Nahuel DL 43 was developed by a colonel Alfredo A. Basi for the needs Argentine Armed Forces. The car was structurally similar to the American M4 Sherman, but it was a separate structure. The entire, small production batch was created in the company Arsenal Esteban de Luca based in Buenos Aires. Due to the armament, it can be assumed that they were primarily tanks designed to support their own infantry - their ability to fight enemy tanks was very limited. It is worth adding that carts Nahuel DL 43 remained in the line until 1962.
