Toyota TF102 is a Japanese Formula 1 car that was designed for the 2002 season. The vehicle made its debut at the Australian Grand Prix that year. The car was developed as a successor to the TF101 car, and its main designer was Gustav Brunner. The heart of the car was the 10-cylinder Toyota RVX-02 engine with a capacity of 3 liters. The car also used a self-supporting body (the so-called monocoque) with a honeycomb structure, made mainly of composites, which reduced the weight of the vehicle and had a positive effect on its strength and stiffness of the entire structure. We also managed to achieve a relatively low weight of 600 kilograms. Despite this, the vehicle was inferior to the cars of other teams and, despite competing in 17 races, was unable to win any of them. The following season it was replaced by the Toyota TF103 car.
