Gaspatch Models 15-32069 Parabellum MG 14/17

The Parabellum MG14 (another designation: LMG14) is a German 7.92 mm air machine gun. The first prototypes of this weapon were made in 1911, and serial production continued in 1913-1918. The length of the weapon was 122 cm, and the weight of the rifle did not exceed 10 kilograms. The theoretical rate of fire was 700 rounds / min. The Parabellum MG14 rifle was developed by Karl Heineman as a modernized version of the MG08 rifle, which itself was based on the Maxim machine gun. Compared to its prototype, the weapon has been significantly reduced, its weight has also been lowered, but the rate of fire has been significantly increased. Initially, the gun was used under the designation MG13 on German airships, and the barrel of the gun was water-cooled. However, the rifle designated LMG14 was quickly put into service, with an air-cooled barrel that became the main armament of German aircraft during World War I. The LMG14 was the first machine gun in the history of this conflict to be effectively adapted to work with a synchroniser.
