The Py27 is a very short series of narrow-gauge steam locomotives (steam locomotives), which were produced only in 1927 at the plants of Warszawska Spółka Akcyjna Budowy Parowozów. The steam engines of these locomotives, popularly called "Warszawianka" from the place of production, generated a rated power of 110 KM. In the interwar period, they were operated by the Żnińska Poviat Railway, which served the connection in the area of the present province. Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Żniński poviat. It served a narrow-gauge line with a track gauge of 600 mm, to which, of course, the Py27 locomotives were adapted. It is worth adding that Py27 were the last locomotives purchased for the needs of these regional railway lines. The Py27 locomotives served mainly freight trains, and to a lesser extent - light passenger trains. More than 30 years after the end of World War II, the Żnińska Poviat Railway was liquidated, and its rolling stock was taken over by the Polish State Railways (PKP) along with Py27 locomotives.
