The Piaggio P 108 was a heavy bomber, a metal four-engine low-wing, with a classic retractable undercarriage. The prototype flight took place in October 1939. Piaggio P.XII RC.35 engines with 1500HP each were used as the drive. Piaggio P 108 planes, from the moment of their introduction into serial production, were systematically included in Regia Aeronautica (Italian Air Force) units. They served throughout the Second World War, mainly in the Mediterranean basin and over North Africa. Few of them also fought on the Eastern Front. He died on this type of plane in 1942.
