The Porsche 962 is a German sports and racing car that was first presented to the public in 1984. Its serial production started in the same year and continued until 1991. About 90 cars of this model were produced in its course, of which about 75 went to the commercial market. The vehicle was dedicated primarily to racing in the so-called Group C and IMSA GTP.

The Porsche 962 was developed as the successor to another racing car from the brand - the 956 - by Norbert Singer. Compared to its predecessor, the "962" differed primarily in an increased level of driver safety, slightly better traction properties on the track, but also was driven - since 1985 - by another engine with greater power and displacement, but also working much more dynamically than this one. used in the 956 model. All this contributed to the high rating of this model by the drivers on it - for example Derek Bell. The Porsche 962 has also achieved tremendous successes on the tracks, winning races at Le Mans (1986 and 1987), Daytona and the World Sportscar Championship series of races, among others.

have bulit this item but used clear red on yellow with a bright silver base and it came out fab the red is slightly candy apple in colour (but that was the effect i was going for)
then after finishing off the decals with a high gloss coating well what can i say GREAT.I did it this way as an experiment as this car is not too expensive if it goes wrong
You can make this relatively simple kit into quite a masterpiece with care and good ideas
