The Porsche 918 Spyder is a German sports car that was first presented to the public in 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show. Its serial production continued in 2013-2015, ending with the production of 918 cars of this model. Production is concentrated in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany.
The 918 Spyder model was developed and put into production to replace the Carrera GT model in the Porsche offer, and its designer was Michael Mauer. Compared to its predecessor, the 918 model differs in many elements. The styling of the vehicle has been slightly changed, while the interior design has undergone significant changes. Some of the car's systems and components were also improved. The fundamental difference, however, lies in the drive, because the Porsche 918 Spyder has a hybrid drive consisting of a gasoline engine and an electric motor with a total power of 889 hp, compared to "only" 612 hp in the Carrera GT engine. The top speed of the 918 model reaches 320 km / h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is phenomenal 2.8 seconds! It is worth noting that in 2011 the 918 RSR model was presented, i.e. a concept model of a racing car, also with a hybrid drive. The price of the Porsche 918 Spyder is estimated at approx. 930 thousand. - EUR 1 million.
The Porsche Panamera is a German passenger car that was first presented to the public in 2009 at the Shanghai Motor Show. Its serial production started in the same year and is still going on. It was concentrated in the city of Leipzig in Germany.
The Panamera model was designed and implemented for production as a clear extension of the commercial offer of Porsche, which with this model entered the segment of "4-door copue limousines" and entered the market battle with such cars as Mercedes CLS and Maserami Quattroporte. Undoubtedly, it is also a breakthrough in the history of the company, so far focused rather on the production of sports cars. Two generations of the Porsche Panamera were produced in the course of production: the first was produced in 2009-2016, and the second - from 2016. Both generations differ quite clearly from each other, mainly in size, body style, which in the second generation clearly refers to the 911 model, driving characteristics, and other power units also offer. It is worth noting that in 2017, the estate version went into production - the first in the history of the Porsche brand!
