Revell 05203 Queen Mary

RMS Queen Mary was a British passenger ship (the so-called transatlantic liner) from the interwar period, World War II and the post-war period. The keel for this vessel was laid in 1930, and the launch took place in 1934. The unit was put into operation in 1936. The total length of the ship was 310.7 meters and a width of 36 meters. The displacement reached about 82,000 tons, and the maximum speed was about 31-33 knots. The RMS Queen Mary was a vessel built for the Cunard-White Star Line at a shipyard in Clydebank, UK. The vessel turned out to be one of the fastest ocean liners in the first half of the 20th century, and in 1936 it won the Blue Ribbon of the Atlantic. The vessel operated mainly between New York and Southampton. During World War II, the unit was used to transport soldiers, primarily in the Atlantic. Due to its high speed, the RMS Queen Mary often sailed without the escort of frigates or destroyers. The vessel was withdrawn in 1967, and today it serves as an entertainment center and museum ship.
