The Skoda Favorit is a Czechoslovak and later Czech lower-middle class passenger car that was presented to the public for the first time in 1987. Its serial production was carried out in the years 1988-1995. The car was powered - depending on the version - with a wide range of gasoline engines ranging from 54 to 68 HP. Production took place in Czechoslovakia, and later in the Czech Republic - mainly in the plants in the city of Mlada Boleslav.
The Favorit model was developed and put into production as a successor to the 742 model (especially the 105 and 120 versions) offered by Skoda. Compared to its predecessor, it differed in many features. First of all, the new car got a completely different body shape with a significantly changed styling, which was developed by the Italian design office Bertone. The travel comfort of the driver and passengers has also been improved. Many components were also changed and other drive units were used. Skoda Favorit was offered in several body versions, including: 5-door hatchback, 5-door station wagon (Forman version) or 2-door pick-up. The company's offer was replaced by the Felicia model in 1994-1995.
