Legend LF1217 Stryker Engine set(for AFV Club)

The wheeled armored vehicles of the Stryker family have a Caterpillar C7 engine as a drive unit. It is a 6-cylinder in-line engine capable of generating a maximum power of 350 HP. Its capacity is 7.2 liters, and the engine speed range is from 1,800 to 2,200 rpm. The engine is turbo-charged and direct fuel injection. The engine is 105.4 cm long, 75.7 cm wide and 103.1 cm high. The weight of the "dry" engine is 588 kilograms. The engine was produced from 2003 to 2009. It is worth noting that the engine was originally produced for the civilian market and in this "civil" version it was characterized by lower maximum power, but also lower fuel consumption. Only later was it adapted and modernized to the cars of the Stryker families. The main changes were aimed at obtaining more maximum power at the expense of more exhaust emissions and more fuel consumption. Incidentally, it can be added that the Caterpillar C7 engine has many elements in common with the Caterpillar 3126 engine.
