The Suzuki GS400E is a Japanese sports motorcycle that was presented to the general public in 1978. Its serial production continued in the years 1978-1984. The drive was provided by a single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 399 cm3 and a maximum power of 39 HP. The GS400E model was developed and put into production by the Suzuki Motor Company as one of the motors belonging to the GS series. Motorcycles in this series were the first to be truly mass-produced by Suzuki to feature a four-valve-per-cylinder engine. The first model in the series was the GS750, the engine of which was structurally similar to that used in the Kawasaki Z-1. One of the next models in the series was the GS400 model, which was initially powered by a 423cc engine, and later - already 399cc. The GS400E model, as well as other models from the GS series, achieved considerable market success on the Japanese market, but especially on foreign markets.
