PanzerArt GB35-014 T-34/76 Mantlet with F-34 Gun (for Hexagonal turret)

F-34 Mod. 1940 is a 76.2 mm tank gun from the WWII period of Soviet production. The first prototypes of the gun were built in 1939, and the first ones entered service a year later. However, serial production only started in 1941. The cannon had a barrel length of 42.5 calibers, or 324 centimeters. The average maximum velocity of a shell fired from this gun was up to 680 m / s, and the rate of fire - with a well-trained crew - ranged from 6 to 10 shots per minute. Honestly, however, it must be admitted that its achievement in the cramped T-34/76 turret was very difficult and was a rather theoretical value. The presented cannon was developed by P. Murawiow in the design office at Fabryka no. 92 in the city of Gorky. In the course of operation, this gun turned out to be better than the L-11 and F-32 guns of the same caliber produced in parallel. The F-34 cannon fired various types of missiles, for example: the anti-tank BR-353A, the F-534 demolition or the BR-350P, which were APCR (Armor Piercing, Composite Rigid) missiles. The latter was able to penetrate an armor plate 92 mm thick at 500 meters and 60 mm at 1000 meters. These parameters made the presented gun one of the best tank guns in the years 1941-1942 in the world! The F-34 cannon quickly became the main armament of the T-34/76 tank, as well as the prototype T-43.
