DEF Model DM35043 T-54/55 D-10T 100mm metal barrel /w mantlet ( for 1/35 Tamiya T-55A)

D-10TG (sometimes the designation is: D-10TG wz. 1944) is a 100 mm tank gun from the Second World War and the Cold War. The length of the barrel was 56 calibers, or 560 centimeters. The weight of the barrel with the slide is 1,438 kilograms. It is assumed that the maximum range of this cannon was approx. 15,000 meters. However, the rate of fire ranged from 5 to 7 rounds per minute. The initial velocity of the projectile fired from this howitzer was up to approx. 1000 m / s. The presented gun was a far-reaching modification of the highly successful BS-3 anti-tank gun (it entered service in 1944) and the D-10C tank gun based on it. Cannon The D-10TG was a semi-automatic, threaded, monoblock (single-piece) barrel. The gun was, of course, equipped with a hydropneumatic retractor. The trigger of the gun is either electric or mechanical. The cannon used integrated cartridges. It was the main armament of the T-54A tank.
