The Tatra T-97 is a Czechoslovakian passenger car from the interwar period and World War II. The first prototypes appeared in the mid-1930s, and serial production continued in 1936-1939. About 500 vehicles of this type were created in its course. The drive was provided by a single 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1.8 liters and 40 HP. The length of the car was 4.27 meters with the wheelbase of 2.6 meters. The T-97 model was developed by the Tatra company, based in Koprivnice in Moravia, as a supplement to the already offered T-77 and T-87 models. All three models had very similar styling, giving them a very aerodynamic shape and an air-cooled engine. It is worth adding, however, that while the T-77 and T-87 models had 8-cylinder engines, the T-97 model had a 4-cylinder engine, providing it with worse performance than the other two models. Shortly after the occupation of Moravia by the Third Reich, the production of the car was stopped. It is worth adding, however, that many of the already produced Tatra T-97 vehicles served as staff cars in the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II.
