Snipers and sharpshooters are assigned to multiple units in the US Army. For example, in the Stryker car company, which is part of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team, there is a Snipe Team consisting of three soldiers: a sniper, an observer and a security soldier. Its soldiers are armed with: 7.62 mm M24 sniper rifle, 12.7 mm M107 sniper rifle and an M16 rifle with an M203 grenade launcher.
