408 S is a wagon designed for transporting powdered materials, especially cement, of the Uacs series. The unladen weight of a single wagon was 24.5 tons, and the maximum load capacity is 55.5 tons. The total length of the wagon reaches 14.04 m with a width of 3.1 meters. The maximum speed of the wagon is 100 km / h. The 408 S wagon is a four-axle structure with a 1XTa bogie. It is dedicated to the transport of widely understood powdered materials, such as cement or lime. The wagon has four tanks with a total capacity of 50 m3, and loading into them takes place in a traditional, gravity way from above through special charging holes. Unloading is carried out with the use of pneumatics. Interestingly, the wagon was designed to be able to unload all four containers simultaneously or each of them individually.
